| Do you like scented candles? | | I like scented candles a lot and I like to light them during evenings, especially weekends. The smell of the candle will take away all the bad odors and fill the whole house with a nice smell. I like to light them after I cook fish at house. My husband hates the smell of fish, but he likes to eat them. Lol.Now, I am collecting scented candles of different sizes and shapes. So, if anybody plans to give me a gift, a beautiful scented candle will be a perfect gift.Do you like scented candles? | |

| Scented Candles...Some Second Thoughts | | It is raved that these scented candles could add a hint of romance to a meal or make taking a bath a real luxury.Yet, U.S. researchers have come to conclusions that the smoke produced by many of them is laced with toxins linked to cancer, asthma and eczema. After burning a variety of these scented candles and found those made of paraffin wax, the most common type, released potentially harmful amounts of chemicals such as toluene and benzene. Some of the pollutants have been linked to cancer, while others could trigger asthma attacks or skin complaints.Guess what? Most of those on sale in Britain, including many scented ones, are made of paraffin wax, a byproduct of the petroleum industry. However, all is bleak and hopeless for the scented candle lovers as there is still an alternative for you. Just be sure that the candles you choose are Beeswax and Soy candles, which are given a clean bill of health in the tests but may not be agreeable with your pockets. So, will you still continue your preference on scented candles? Do you have facts contrary to this... | |

| Scented Candles? | | Do you like scented candles? What is your favorite scent in a candle?Have you heard of Yankee Candle?Yankee Candle is the absolute best brand of scented candle, and my absolute favorite scent by them is called "Fresh Cut Grass". For our first Christmas together my husband got me a gift pack that had 2 large candles and a bunch of little ones. After I used up those candles, we had a hard time finding that same scent, it seems Yankee Candle stopped making it.[em]sad[/em]Yesterday we were at the mall, and for fun decided to go through the Yankee Candle store, and there I saw it. A very large jar candle that said "Green Grass". I took a sniff... sure enough, it's identical to my favorite "Fresh Cut Grass" scent!! Plus, it was on sale!! $15, normally it's over $20. I bought it! There was a really nice Lilac scented candle I liked too, but decided one candle was enough. Hopefully I don't have trouble finding that lilac candle next time I'm in the market! | |
| | Do scented candles actually make a room smell good when lit? | | I've used scented candles a few times but I find that even in a small room they never really spread that much of a good smell. When I sniff the candle itself I can get a gorgeous smell but the room smell does not seem to change.
Is it just me? | |

| | Do you enjoy scented candles/oils/wax tarts/incense, etc.? | | At Christmastime, my brother's girlfriend bought my family a box of scented wax tarts from lolcandles.com (highly recommended, FYI!) as well as a tart burner and some tealight candles. The first tart we melted was a Cinnamon Bun one that made the entire house smell extremely yummy. I went on the site and bought $80 worth of tarts (making it worth my while to have them shipped to Canada) and for the past few weeks have been loving how great my house smells. My boyfriend loves incense (so much so that I bought him several packs for Christmas), and scented candles, so our house is like a mixture of many different scents all at once. Primarily vanilla though, since we can definitely agree on that.:)What about you? Do you like things that make your home smell pretty? Which do you prefer? Scented wax tarts? Potpourri? Candles? Incense? Scented Oils?Which scents are your favorite? | |
