| | Any tips on what to do when your eyes are really sensitive to sun and light? | | Over the past week my eyes have become really sensitive when I go out in the sun or in a room with bright lights. My eyes start to water and it is hard to keep them open when it is really bright, I have to squint. I have not had this problem before. I saw the doctor about it he gave me these antibiotic eye drops, I have not used them as yet, because he told me be careful not to swallow them once they enter your mouth as it is dangerous for the baby (I am breastfeeding). SO I don't want to risk it.So have you experienced this problem before? Is there anything else I can do to help fix my eyes, maybe vitamins or something? | |
| | are you ready? | | I was reading a newspaper one day quoting a Christian author who theorized that Christ would call millions of Christians to heaven before sundown that particular day. A few minutes later, a friend walked up, sat down, and began to tell me that his life had been dramatically changed. He said that for the first time in his life he was ready to meet the Lord. This was good news, since we had often discussed his unwillingness to live in a manner consistent with his claim to be a Christian.He said he decided that it was all or nothing. He had an amazing peace, and now he was also concerned about others. When I asked him what had happened, he told me he had read the book I had been reading about in the newspaper. He said he finally realized that whether Christ came on that day or another day, he would have to stand before the Lord eventually.To claim that Christ will come today may result in a false alarm. But to believe that Christ may come today and that we will have to answer to Him will motivate us to live for Him.Are you ready? - MRDII | |

| | What triggers your Migraines? | | As we all know, migraines can have any number of triggers and are unique to the migraine sufferer. Some common triggers of migraines are:* birth control pills and other hormonal medications
* caffeine, alcohol, chocolate, old cheese, MSG and other foods
* stress!
* sensory stimulus like bright lights, sun glare, strong scents
* physical exertion
* change in sleep patterns (too much sleep, too little sleep)
* environmental changes like a change of weather, season, altitude level, barometric pressure or time zoneSo what have you figured out triggers your own migraines? Do you know what they are or are you still trying to track them down? How do you avoid getting migraines?My personal triggers are very strong coffee (I can't drink Tim Hortons or Starbucks without my head pounding), stress!, too much sleep (I think it has to do with my neck being in the same position for a long time), and stress!;) (yes, it is worth mentioning twice).Looking forward to hearing from you!~Wyrdsister

| | Out Of Body Experiences | | Have any of you had an out of body experience? What was it like? I've tried to have some, myself, but I've never succeeded.:( Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do to help myself have an out of body experience? Do you think it's even possible to bring one on yourself? | |
| | Are 'near death ' experiences real? | | There have been several scientific studies have suggested that the mind – or ‘soul’ - lives on after the body has died and the brain ceased to function. It is said that about one in four people who have a near-death experience also have experiences like watching doctors try and resuscitate their bodies.
These are usually called ‘out-of-body experiences’, and people who survive them often talk about seeing a bright light, traveling down a tunnel, seeing their dead body from above, and meeting deceased relatives.Have any of you experienced any such thing?I thought that I did once about 18 years ago, but I can't be sure as to what was real and what was in my imagination.I had a miscarriage and was haemorrhaging badly, I was rushed down the corridor with my blood pressure dropping drastically and ITHOUGHT that I had the feeling of looking down at myself, but was it just in my mind??
| | So this is what they are wasting their time on... | | http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2010/05/17/obama-sign-law-authorizing-new-list-nations-behaving-badly/?test=latestnews
President Obama signed a law Monday morning hailed as a hammer against countries that stifle press freedoms -- though the law, a tribute to murdered journalist Daniel Pearl, does not entail any enforcement. The Daniel Pearl Freedom of the Press Act would require the State Department to compile a list of nations where press freedoms are violated in its annual Human Rights Practices report. But the bill, championed by Reps. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., and Mike Pence, R-Ind., and Sen. Chris Dodd, D-Conn., leans on a mostly name-and-shame strategy. It would require the State Department to identify countries where there are press freedom violations -- ranging from imprisonment to censorship to physical attacks -- and break out countries where "particularly severe violations" occur. For those countries, the State Department would state whether the governments allow or support the violations and what the governments are doing to reverse the trend. Though the exercise pretty much stops there, co-sponsors say it's a big step forward in spotlighting bad...
